Welcome to the February installment of Mushrooms of the Month. This may be the coldest month of the year and January definitely set some of the coldest records for Ohio in decades! With the vast amount of snowfall we have been getting this makes this month even harder to find those elusive winter species beneath our feet and the ice. But fear not, warm spells are happening throughout the globe and when this happens it’s time to bundle up and get out there if you are fearless enough to battle those chilling winds and find some interesting species for us!
